Charmaine Welch

Charmaine Welch blissfully lives with her main squeeze and the love of her life, Peter Brown, in idyllic Metchosin, which is a rural suburb of Victoria, BC. Their home can be found in various states of disarray, depending on what housework avoidance project Charmaine is working on at the time.

She is a fervent and hyper-focused Maker. Making “stuff” has always brought her great satisfaction. Sometimes it’s of practical use, sometimes not. Sewing is her favourite medium, but she has been known to try many other creative pursuits. Charmaine has been an occasional columnist for a local monthly newspaper called Metchosin Muse.  Musings of a Housework Avoidance Expert is a compilation of those articles and her first book.
